Sep 05

Schulman Bhattacharya won a $19.5 million settlement for clients in a dispute over the application of a complex buy/sell provision in a real estate company’s operating agreement. The case settled on the fifth day of trial, after our successful cross examination of the opposing side’s key witnesses and as we were nearing completion of putting on our case in chief. The Schulman Bhattacharya team was headed by partners Jeremy Schulman and Koushik Bhattacharya. Mr. Schulman was lead counsel in the case, which was a JAMS arbitration administered by a retired District of Columbia federal court judge.
